Practical Tips
For most of our visitors, we recommend using electric bikes. The distances in the Ebro Delta are long, and the flat terrain does not allow for easy resting during the journey. Additionally, the sunny climate can be demanding, especially during the summer months. Fortunately, in Sant Carles de la Ràpita, we have a space to store our guests' bikes, as well as charging points for electric bikes, so you can enjoy a day of rest and relaxation after your adventure.
Distance: 15 km (one way)
Duration: 1.5 hours by electric bike to the Encanyissada Lagoon, with the possibility to continue to the Tancada Lagoon
Description: This route starts directly from our accommodation and follows the path parallel to the Delta's canals until reaching the Encanyissada Lagoon, one of the most important wetlands and an ideal spot for bird watching. If you continue along the bike lane, you can reach the Tancada Lagoon, where you will enjoy wonderful views of the pink flamingo population inhabiting the Delta. The journey is very pleasant and will allow you to enjoy the biodiversity of the Ebro Delta.
Exploring the Ebro Delta by bike or on foot is an unforgettable experience that will allow you to discover one of the most fascinating natural environments in Catalonia. With our facilities prepared to meet the needs of cyclists, you can enjoy these routes with total comfort and safety.
